TECHNICAL LAYER
Tank tops are underestimated as a technical layer. On warmer days as a single layer it breathes like wearing nothing at all, without being completely naked to the elements. In colder climates the tank top works great as a next-to-skin layer, insulating your core and allowing better breathability and range of motion to your arms. A tank top is always a good choice.

AREA OF USE
Our tank top is designed to be used for everything. That way we can try to challenge the way we consume clothing, and encourage everyone to buy less clothes. The clothing we do buy should also be able to be worn on any occasion. So whether you're climbing, running, relaxing in front of the TV or on a fancy date, you don't need more than one tank in your closet.

WARNING
Okay, perhaps “warning” sounds a bit dramatic, but even though this is just a garment (and not a chainsaw), incorrect use of our wool and silk clothing can impact your experience.

How so? Well, the product is made from thin natural materials – wool and silk. It’s designed to be extremely comfortable in all temperatures and activities, and to last a very long time. However, that doesn’t mean it can withstand everything. Thin wool has a downside: it’s not as durable as, say, thin polyester garments. To ensure it actually lasts, you need to be part of "the journey" and treat it a little differently than other clothes. Without care, it might actually have a significantly shorter lifespan. WASH LESS
Northern Playground recommends airing out your wool and saving the environment as long as you can. Founder Jo has worn one of our wool and silk tank tops for over 200 days without washing it, and it still doesn't smell like anything! Read more here.
