MEET THE SEAMSTRESS
What do you really know about the person who sewed the clothes you own? Would you take better care of the product if you knew the person? Now you can find out 😊 Drop by our Microfactory and say hi to Mina. She’s the one sewing this product, and she’ll also be the one repairing it if it ever needs fixing.
SURPLUS TEXTILES
This neckwarmer is made from surplus textiles. Sometimes they come from our own production, other times we acquire fabrics that other clothing brands don’t use. This means the color and technical properties of the fabric may vary from batch to batch. Unfortunately, there is an endless supply of surplus textiles, often left sitting in storage until they’re eventually thrown away. Let’s give them a new life instead!
IS LOCAL PRODUCTION IMPORTANT?
Mamma mia, is it important? Just think about the environmental aspects, fair wages, product quality, transparency, innovation, variety, and preparedness. Not convinced? Check it out here.
DOESN'T PRODUCTION IN OSLO COST TOO MUCH?
Well, it definitely costs more than in low-cost countries. We sell our products directly to you without intermediaries. This way we and our seamstresses can keep enough money for things to go 'round. To make this possible, you might have to pay a little more than you're usually used to, but we hope you think it's worth it.
STORE AND MICROFACTORY
Our store is not your typical shop. Sure, we sell clothes and make money from it, but can we do everything the opposite of what typical clothing stores do? Our goal is just as much about opening minds and showing that it's possible to do things in a completely different way, with a totally different footprint.
USE MORE +
