FREE BORROWING OF THE LAST
Northern Playground is created to challenge norms, and we often see ourselves as an experiment aimed at creating change. We not only want to change the way we all use our clothes, but we also want to change the entire industry of which we are a part. Now, we're taking a new step into uncharted territory to test borrowing of The Last.
The Last is outerwear that challenges the relationship between consumers and the garments they own. The vision behind The Last is to use the same jacket and pants year after year without feeling the pressure to buy new ones, but rather to inspire taking care of one's garments, maintaining them properly, and repairing them when damage occurs. This way, we can use our garments more, own and buy fewer clothes, and ultimately; change habits that contribute to reducing consumption.
To purchase a jacket and pants intended to last for several decades, the garments may need a bit of "maturation time." That's why you can now borrow both the jacket and pants for you to test them on your adventures and favorite activities – free of charge*. As payment, you'll send us pictures and videos showing the garment's journey, along with information about where it has been used. Each garment comes with its own unique serial number, which will be highlighted on social media to show where the garments have been and the activities they've been used for. We look forward to following your journey and the garments' journey!
Psst! From our side, this is an experiment where we're testing if rental will be a success. Therefore, the technical solution may not be optimal, but with a little patience, it works very well. Just to be clear: You can only borrow The Last if you live in Norway.
*We expect pictures and/or video from your tryout period as "payment."
A deposit of 500 NOK is also required.
