LEFTOVER MATERIALS
The fabric in the headband is left-over material from other productions. These “left-over” fabrics are often just left behind and later thrown away. We want to give these fabrics new life. That means that we also will constantly be getting new qualities and colors for our Made in Tøyen, Oslo products. That’s why everything that is Made in Tøyen is limited edition. The fabrics and production in the Tøyen collection follow the same quality requirements as everything else that we make.
MADE IN OSLO
We’ve been wanting to use fabrics like this for something cool for a long time. When we got to know the women from the Kulmis network in Oslo, we quickly understood that this would be a win-win situation. The women from Kulmis create jobs and opportunities for unemployed women in our community. Together we wish to build a successful and sustainable business.
DOESN'T PRODUCTION IN OSLO COST TOO MUCH?
Well, it definitely costs more than in low-cost countries. We sell our products directly to you without intermediaries. This way we and our seamstresses can keep enough money for things to go 'round. To make this possible, you might have to pay a little more than you're usually used to, but we hope you think it's worth it.
